Below are some examples of the risks we won in March 2024:

  • Professional Indemnity – Event Services
    Activities:
Event management consultancy, including event organisation, advertising consulting, production and promotion.
    Revenue circa:
    $7.6M
    FTA’s Comments:
FTA assisted this broker as they were looking to move this risk from its previous insurer and remarket it. The terms we provided were the most competitive in the market and the policy was placed for a $1M limit with a base premium of around $6,600.

  • Combined PI & GL – “Pink Color” Labour Hire
    Activities:
Recruitment & placement of Aged Care Nurses and Disability Workers.
    FTA’s Comments:
A broker asked us if FTA would consider a recruitment company that arranges placements for Aged Care Nurses and Disability Workers. The broker was (rightfully so) under the impression that this would fall under “Blue-Collar” Labour Hire instead of “White-Collar”. However, these type of placements fall within the “Pink-Collar” type of risks that FTA can also provide coverage for. Moreover, we provide this at a highly competitive rate with one of the broadest coverages available!

  • Management Liability – IT Services Consultancy
    Activities:
Computer software development including information managing services, multimedia services and web design and development.
    Revenue circa:
    $2.6M
    FTA’s Comments:
This Insured was already covered by FTA for their IT Liability, however, they were now asking if we could also write their ML policy as they were pleased with the coverage we provided for them. We were happy to work together with our supportive broker to obtain the best possible outcome for their client. FTA now holds the Insured’s IT & ML policy. Coverage for the ML was placed at a base premium of around $1,700 with a limit of $1M (incl. extensions).

  • Design & Construct Insurance – Residential Builder
    Activities:
Residential construction and providing low-rise multi unit developments (3 floors or less).

    Revenue circa: $2.3M
    FTA’s comments:

This broker approached FTA as they were remarketing this D&C risk on behalf of their client. Their current insurer was increasing their premium significantly upon renewal and FTA was able to provide competitive terms instead. As much as the D&C market has been volatile for brokers and their clients, at FTA we have been able to remain consistent with our offerings throughout the years. The policy was subsequently placed for a $1M limit with a base premium of $3,950.

  • Combined PI & GL – Training and Care Organisation
Activities: First aid training and care services in the Aged Care and Childhood sector.
    Revenue circa: $3.2M
    FTA’s comments:
FTA previously quoted this one, however the client were happy to stay with their previous insurer at the time. Upon renewal. The broker approached FTA looking to place this one due to our support. FTA were happy to assist, placing this policy for a $10m PI limit and $20M GL Limit with a $7,400 base premium.

  • Information Technology Liability – Cloud Service Provider
Activities: Microsoft cloud service provider including reselling, consulting and implementing these services and products to their customers. Please note: their activities exclude any financial transactions as this falls outside of FTA’s appetite.
    Revenue: $1.7M
    FTA’s comments:
This broker approached FTA looking to remarket this policy due to a change in appetite from the previous insurer. FTA happily assisted with this one, binding the policy at a 10M PI and 20M GL limit with a $8800 base premium.

  • Association Liability – Not-for-Profit
Activities: A not for profit education and training association for children.
    Revenue: $1.6M
    FTA’s comments:
The broker was looking to remarket this one and was gauging what prices were being offered in the market currently. FTA provided terms, to which the broker was happy to bind with. This policy was placed for a $5M limit at a base premium of around $2300.
